67 Drivers and 500+ Spectators as KMS Drift kicks off first 2013 Atlanta, GA Drift Event at Atlanta Motor Speedway

March 16, 2013 - KMS Drift Championship Series kicked off the 2013 season with its first Atlanta, GA event at Atlanta Motor Speedway This was a double points driver day and it showed as 67 drivers from six (6) different states came out to collect points for the race to the Championship. This was the 5th event of the season; tallying a total of 160 drivers participating so far in this young season. Two tracks were running, the HIGH speed road course and the media lot, seat time was in abundant even with 67 drivers at the event. Weather was perfect! Over 500 spectators came to watch the drivers show their skills and see some smoke fill the air. XDC Orlando FL KMS invite pick went to Johnny McDonald he showed KMS why he deserved the invite with great sportsmanship and killer driving skills. Congratulations Johnny McDonald!! The day ended the day with a traditional burnout session in the media lot that spared very few rear tires.
